New thing

well hey band and hey all! this is 09! are you excited what god would do this year? so sorry for the 2008 album being overdue...somethings God decided to speak to us first and lead us through before continuing on. well just want to share something here...that also can share with you at the same time who the real God is and how He is like abit...

well okay..been going through some storms at home lately...brother intends to go melbourne permanently, my dad well...is caught up in a act, my mum is well...getting misled by emotions and things..., God spoke about relatives too...well we arent close and 100%ly that after my parents generation pass on, the current generation which is mine would no longer appearingly be related...like we wont meet, we wont talk etc. cause we hardly know each other, or remember each others face or name...well God is doing great things. despite all these and some more things...He still assures me again that He is in charge...and i just feel this sense of peace within my heart...to say that Jesus Christ, You are in charge and I am just going to submit to whatever Your plans maybe, just lead me by hand and keep me in Your plan!

another thing...something i wrote while i was reflecting this week...rather long...but i pray you'd hold on till you're done reading it:

Your grace still amazes me. A song that kept playing on my computer for most of the week. Along with the song: By your side. Just wont get tired of the song. Do you still get amazed at and by His grace? If not, ask the Lord to renew your heart. Some lyrics: “Each day I fall on my knees, Your grace amazes me. Coz its deeper, wider, stronger, its higher than anything my eyes can see, Your grace still amazes me”. It’s a everyday renewal thing. Letting the Lord’s grace that He has and had showeth unto us to overwhelm us, to scoop us up again, to usher us into a time of rejoicing in the midst of mourning. To bring us out of our comfort of lamenting and not looking at other things and people into a time of going out and telling people of our comforter. The extreme opposites. Of valley to mountain. I’m saying your valley can be another person’s mountain. We may think that im in a serious valley. Where to another person wherever they come from, that is already a very good mountain, a very good position to have. Despite what’s going on, at least we have food on our table, we have a good place to sleep, there’s shoes on my feet, there are people loving me, I know who my parents are, I know the Lord provideth for my whole family so we can pay our bills, we can purchase food whenever we require to satisfy our hunger, where each of us can have our separate meals and not need to share to make ends meet. These to others are mountains to even have them, some even don’t dare to dream of having them. But having all these, we are in our valley. Our valley could be someone else’s mountain. How low is your valley? It is at the lowest of your valley, that it could be someone’s highest of their mountain. The Lord is always by our side. Even if we don’t have any of the above to thank for, which is a very slim chance, we still have God with us. Other’s don’t have Jesus in them. Shouldn’t we be thankful for not just having Jesus in us, but also because we know Him. How deep is His love for us? Who can fathom, who can estimate, who can know, who can measure? The depth, width, broadness, length, height, diameter, circumference, mass, weight, any form of human measurement where God is never limited by? It’s a relationship not a possession. It’s a relationship not another achievement, it’s a relationship not another on your contact list, it’s a relationship not a religion, it’s a relationship not a mere source of comfort, it’s a relationship not a make use. It’s a relationship. Have you been taking and not giving? Have you been asking but not loving? Have we missed the point of this relationship?
This relationship: Father to child, Master to servant, God to man, Best friend to friend, Provider to receiver, Comforter to comforted, Love to lover, Savior to redeemed, Faithful to compromiser, Faith to faithless, Shelter to shelter less, Food to the hungry, Strength to the weak, Hope to the hopeless, Potter to clay, Vision to the lack of vision and much much more. Whatever we have there is the opposite. Because there is a difference between when there is God in the picture and when there is not.

yup...i pray God, in this very moment. You would come another gap closer to us. like the air that we breathe that You so freely give. bring us to know You more Lord. In Jesus name i ask and pray. Amen

Take Care dear all and God bless
With God's love,
Victoria

hello everyone!!!

i really hope you guys can start posting something soon. doesn't have to be long yet not so brief so that at least we can be updated on each other's lives. been doing a lot of cleaning and packing in camp in preparation for the overseas trip. it can get quite frustrating at times because it's really difficult to clean some stuff.

i went up mount faber on sat morning. didn't know what to do but just wanted to find a place to relax. i was really tired when i reached the top actually and i was able to see quite far from where i was standing, giving a feeling of spaciousness. the wind was nice too but the sun was rather hot. sometimes we can be running around so much without realizing that rest is as important to our work and so we must not overwork ourselves. ok?

yup that's all for this week!

oikos on wednesday was great! my cell group went to east coast park to run in the morning. the place was very crowded when i reached and there was hardly any space to walk on the pathway. we ran along the less crowded stretch of east coast park and it was quite an enjoyable one because we tried to keep together for as much of the race as possible. we managed to complete the course that we had set and rested a while before we went a second round. the pace was much faster the second time and i felt really tired at the end of it. zhen yuan can run really fast! joe too! haha.

nothing much happened in camp this week.

saturday was study oikos again! well, i tried to teach as much as i know but there were many things i have forgotten, especially those that require explanations derived from theories. haha. had cell group after that and i went home to rest after a day out.

my mum's not at home this weekend. she went to malaysia on friday night and will be coming back only tonight, after i book in most probably because the bus doesn't return to singapore so early.

What a week!

hi guys!

this week hadn't been that interesting i guess. the only thing that i remember doing in camp is playing soccer. really want to thank God for the opportunity to play soccer even in camp. i haven't been playing with my friends on saturdays for like 2 months or more already (they even stopped messaging me!). it's fun playing with my friends in camp too, just that on thurs there were some rather unfriendly people who were playing there and i was quite tempted to play rough with them. however, i thought it would be wrong for me to do that and i tried to control myself really. i couldn't stand their attitude because they made a lot of noise and they pushed others in order to get the ball. if it were in the past i would have slided them really hard but i didn't do that! haha.

booked out early yesterday then managed to have dinner with 2 of my friends before i made my way to prayer meeting. felt quite bad during prayer meeting actually cos i forgot to bring my Bible out of camp. it was very weird cos i reminded myself earlier on to bring along my Bible but it totally slipped my mind when i booked out. was i really serious about going yesterday? i don't know. i really need to go back to seeking the things of God...
